Lesson Plan for Young Learners

Hai sobat, apa kabar? Semoga tetap dalam lindungan-Nya ya... Kali ini saya akan berbagi tentang lesson plan for young learners. 
LESSON PLAN

Subject             : English
Class/Semester  : 2/ll
Topic                : Pets
Method             Direct Method
Time Allocation : 1 x 35 minutes

I. STANDARD COMPETENCE
                               
Writing       : Writing the kinds of pets and the food for pets
Reading      : The pets based on the pictures.

II.  BASIC COMPETENCE

-          Responding by repeating the new vocabulary in a variety of games orally.
-          Expressing for asking or giving information that involve speech acts about pets.
-          Completing a very simple sentence with vocabulary correctly.

 III.  INDICATOR

-          Mention kinds of pets.
-          Listen and repeat the teacher’s said about pets.
-          Answer the question relate to the pictures of pets.
-          Practice the simple dialogue about pets.
-          Practice how to write the question and answer about pets.

   IV.   PURPOSES OF THE LEARNING

-          The students are able to mention the kinds of pets.
-          The students are able to listen and repeat the teacher’s said about pets.
-          The students are able to answer the question relate to the pictures of pets.
-          The students are able to practice the simple dialogue about pets.
-          The students are able to practice how to write the question and answer about pets.

    e.Motivate the students by telling them that the material will be interesting.

Exploration
        a.The teacher asks the students about pets.
        b.The teacher shows the pictures of pets.

Elaboration
        a. The teacher mentions the kinds of pets and the food for pets based on the pictures. (listen and repeat)
        b.The students repeat the kinds of pets and the food for pets based on the teacher said. (repeat)
        c. The teacher explains how to ask and answer about pets. (speaking)
Example:
 -Do you have a pet? Yes, I have.
      -What is your pet? My pet is a cat.
        d. The teacher practices the question and answer about pets with a game.
        e. The teacher put the pictures on the board and asks the students to guess the names of pets and the food for pets.

Confirmation
        a. The teacher points out the pictures one by one and asks students to mention it.
         b. The teacher corrects if there is any mistakes produced by students.
         c. The students do the exercises by answering the question based on the picture.
